In my case yes keto helped me to lift the low moods that I had with depression. I must preface with the fact that I am not a GP or anything. But I do my research and I try out things for myself. We are all different and what may work for one person may not necessarily work for another.

There can be many factors that contribute to why someone suffers from depression and by no means should you embark on a keto journey for mental health without consulting your healthcare provider.
It is also important to not that keto is not a one fits all approach – you have to understand your individual macros. The macros are calculated based on your metrics.
